Applying for emergency grants to help small charities through the COVID-19 pandemic

Orchard Fundraising has been providing free fundraising support to small, local charities.We have helped four charities across Gloucestershire, Worcestershire, Bristol and Avon to raise funds for their causes.

Seeing the impact of the pandemic on the charity sector and its beneficiaries, we were keen to use our expert skills in trust and foundation grant applications to apply for emergency funding. We wanted to do what we could to support local charities through the crisis period and help them continue their vital work.

Samantha Watson, fundraising consultant at Orchard Fundraising is a Winston Churchill Fellow. During her fellowship, she explored how marketing and public relations can increase the income and sustainability of charities and has applied this learning throughout her fundraising career.
